You can create a shortcut to eResidentCare on any device—no app store download required. A shortcut opens the site instantly and can behave like an app in its own window. It takes less than a minute. Open https://app.eresidentcare.io and follow the steps for your device below.


iPhone & iPad (Safari)

Recommended on Apple mobile devices for the best “app‑like” experience.

  1. Open Safari and go to https://app.eresidentcare.io.

  2. Tap the Share button (square with an up arrow).

  3. Choose Add to Home Screen.

  4. (Optional) Edit the name (e.g., eResidentCare), then tap Add.

  5. You’ll see the icon on your Home Screen. Tap it to open eResidentCare.

Troubleshooting

  • Don’t see Add to Home Screen? Scroll the share sheet down; tap Edit Actions… to add it.

  • If using another browser (Chrome/Firefox), switch to Safari to create the Home Screen icon.



Android Phones & Tablets (Google Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome and go to https://app.eresidentcare.io.

  2. Tap the ⋮ menu (top‑right).

  3. Tap Add to Home screen or Install app.

  4. (Optional) Edit the name (e.g., eResidentCare), then tap Add/Install.

  5. The icon appears on your Home Screen or App Drawer. Tap to open.

Using Samsung Internet

  1. Open Samsung Internet → go to https://app.eresidentcare.io.

  2. Tap the ≡ menu → Add page to → Home screen.


Windows 10/11 (Microsoft Edge)

Best option on Windows for an app‑like window and taskbar pinning.

  1. Open Microsoft Edge and go to https://app.eresidentcare.io.

  2. Click … (top‑right) → Apps → Install this site as an app.
    (If you see an Install icon in the address bar, you can click that instead.)

  3. Name it eResidentCare and click Install.

  4. Pin it: Right‑click the new app in the taskbar or Start menu → Pin to taskbar or Pin to Start.

Alternative: Desktop Shortcut (any browser)

  1. Right‑click your desktop → New → Shortcut.

  2. In the location box, enter https://app.eresidentcare.io → Next.

  3. Name it eResidentCare → Finish.



Windows 10/11 (Google Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome and go to https://app.eresidentcare.io.

  2. Click … → More tools → Create shortcut….

  3. Check Open as window for an app‑like view → Create.

  4. Pin to taskbar: Launch the new shortcut → right‑click its taskbar icon → Pin to taskbar.



macOS (Safari)

On macOS Sonoma and newer, you can create a true web app in the Dock.

  1. Open Safari and go to https://app.eresidentcare.io.

  2. From the menu bar, click File → Add to Dock….

  3. Name it eResidentCare and click Add.

  4. Launch from the Dock; it opens in its own window without browser controls.

Older macOS (bookmark to Dock)

  • Drag the URL from the address bar to the right‑hand side of the Dock (near the Trash) to create a clickable Dock bookmark.

macOS (Google Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome and go to https://app.eresidentcare.io.

  2. Click … → More tools → Create shortcut….

  3. Check Open as window → Create.

  4. To keep it handy, drag the new app to the Dock or add to Login Items (System Settings → General → Login Items) if you want it available after restart.



Tips & Notes

  • No app store needed: These shortcuts simply open eResidentCare in your browser.

  • Keep me signed in: If your organization allows, check Remember me at sign‑in so the shortcut opens already authenticated.

  • Rename or remove: Long‑press (mobile) or right‑click (desktop) the icon to rename, move, or remove it.
